Rev. Albert L. Verdegan 77, died on Tuesday; Febraury 22, 2011 at his home in Ladysmith. Fr. Al was in his 51st year of Religious Life with The Diocese of Superior.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Betty Salentine of Luxemburg, WI and Jean  & Robert "Bud" Charias of Ladysmith. Numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Funeral Services for Fr. Al will be held on Friday; February 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith with The Very Reverend Peter F. Christensen, Bishop of  Superior as the Principle Celebrant. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith. Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. on Thursday at The Church where there will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 P.M. followed by A Knights of Columbus Rosary. There will also be an hour of visitation at The Church on Friday prior to time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Fr. Al are requested for Our Lady of Sorrows School.
