Ursula Mary Alice “Alice” Keith passed on to her heavenly reward while surrounded by her family at Care & Rehab - Ladysmith on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was born on April 15, 1932 in Eau Claire, WI. She graduated from Drummond High School and attended what is now the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

Alice married Rodney Keith in 1955 and together they raised 4 children.

Alice was well known in the community for her culinary talents and volunteer work with St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bruce, The Parish Council of Catholic Women, The Bruce Public Schools and the Bruce Area Library. She created wedding cakes for years for many young couples from the Bruce area and she taught school in Elk Mound, Bruce and Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin as well as substitute teaching in Bruce for several years. She also served as the librarian at the Bruce Area Library until her retirement. Alice also enjoyed years of membership and fellowship in the Bruce Red Hats and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Alice is survived by 2 sons, Kevin (Carol) Keith, and Thomas Keith, 1 daughter, Tama (John) Ihde, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Keith, 1 daughter, Regina (Craig) Tomasovich, her father, Charles Manchester, her mother, Marian (Fenton) Manchester, her sister, Jean (Bill) Harvey and her brother, Arthur (Mary Alice) Manchester.

A Celebration of Life Mass will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bruce, followed by a lunch in the church hall. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the church. Alice has been cremated and an interment ceremony will be held at a later date in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery in Bruce.

The family wishes to thank all staff at Care & Rehab-Ladysmith facility for their work in caring for our dear mother these past 2+ years as well as to the doctors and staff at the Marshfield Clinic in Ladysmith, especially Dr. Katie Winiarczyk.

In lieu of flowers any donations or memorials in memory of Alice Keith may be sent to Rusk County Catholic Community; C/O St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bruce; 611 1st Street S., Ladysmith, WI 54848; for purchase of items in need of replacement for masses for the St. Mary’s of Bruce church community.
