August John Hanson, Sr., 80, passed away on May 14, 2020 at his home in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

August is survived by his spouse, Liz, his sons August Jr. (Dianne) of Bartlett, IL., Anthony (Jackie) of Glen Ellyn, IL., James (Judy) of Vancouver, WA., Patrick (Cara) of Puyallup, WA., and his daughters Corinne (James) of Eddyville, KY, Genevieve of Stokes, N.C., Ann Marie of Ashland, WI., and Kathleen (Daniel) of Ladysmith. August is also survived by nineteen grandchildren Kyleigh, Marcus, Lauren, Daniel Vacho, Anthony, Deena, Kristine, Daniel Salazar, Jennifer, Jessica, Emily, Melissa, Zachary, Elizabeth, Madilyn, Kaitlin, Autumn, Myla, and Leia along with many great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

August was preceded in death by his parents Wallace Hanson and Helen Collins, mother-in-law Joyce Ernst, brother Edward Collins, Sr., grandson Joseph Lehan, and great grandson CJ Bobinsky.

A memorial with family will be held at a later date.
