Bertha (Scharenbrock) Goda, 98, of Springfield, IL, passed away on April 6, 2025.

Bertha is survived by her daughter, Diane (Kevin) Sieving; grandchildren, Riley (Callie) Cowman and Kirby Cowman; great-grandchildren; stepson, Jim (Sue) Clough; step-grandchildren, Brian (Allison), Greg (Jalaja), and Scott (Sangeeta) Clough; numerous step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Emma Scharenbrock; brother-in-law, Joe Marchioretto; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Andy, her parents, Anton & Philomena (Weber) Scharenbrock and all her siblings.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home, Ladysmith, WI, and again on Wednesday, April 16 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, followed by a funeral mass and burial with Military Honors provided by the Rusk County Honor Guard at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.

In honor of Bertha, donations may be made to her family for a nursing scholarship or donate a book to your local library in her memory.
