Betty Jean Austad, 88, formerly of Hawkins, WI died Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Ladysmith, WI.

Survivors include two sons: Kyle and Carol Austad of Hawkins, WI and Craig Austad (Dee Dee Peterson) of Mequon, WI, two grandchildren (her pride and joy): Nicole (Nate) Hon of Green Bay, WI and Charissa (Mark) Melendes of DePere, WI, four great-grandchildren, four brothers: Bob (Janice) Scheelk, Larry Scheelk, Henry Scheelk and Dick Scheelk and three sisters: Audrey (Jim) Paulson, Arlene and Delores Lane.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lorence and Dorothy Scheelk, husband: Ray, son: Scott, two brothers: Laverne and Dennis and two sisters: Patsy and Gail.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hawkins with Rev. Hailey Halmstad officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hawkins. A memorial visitation will be held Friday at the church from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
