Carol J. Pestel

Carol J. Pestel, 97 of Ladysmith, died on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center - Eau Claire. She was born on December 30, 1928 to Rudolph "Rudy" & Clara (Grunseth) Hon.

Carol married Robert Pestel on December 30, 1946 in Ladysmith. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2013.

Carol worked at Artisan's for 20+ years and was also a farm wife. She was a member and very active in Glen Flora Lutheran Church with the Ladies Aide group and was a teacher in Sunday School and Bible School.

She is survived by her 4 children; Jon (Nancy) Pestel of Ladysmith, Don (Jane) Pestel of Onalaska, Kay (Tom) Golat of Superior and Sharon (Art) Baker of LaValle, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband; Robert, parents; Rudy & Clara Hon and 2 brothers; Roland and Gerald Hon.

Funeral services for Carol Pestel will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Glen Flora Lutheran Church with Pastor Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith and then again from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church.
