Donald E. Harden

Donald Elmer "Donnie" Harden, age 74, of Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his home on March 19, 2026 with his wife by his side.

Born on June 14, 1951, in Hertel, Wisconsin, Donnie was the son of Alva Kenneth Harden and Elizabeth Margaret (Rohler) Harden, both of whom predeceased him.

On November 27, 1978, Donnie married Cindy Lee Darnell in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. Cindy survives him, along with their family.

Donnie moved to the Weyerhaeuser area in 1996, where he made his home.

In his younger years, Donnie enjoyed hunting and fishing. Throughout his life, he took great pleasure in woodworking, graphic modeling, and staying current with modern technology and gadgets. He was always teaching himself something new, eager to keep up with the latest advancements.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Cindy; 2 sons, Donald James Harden (and his fiancée Laura Sanford) and their children Annelise, Kara, Gabriel, and Grayson and Marshall Scott Harden; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Anne Benes (and her husband Steven Benes) and their daughter Verdandi; five grandchildren in total; and many other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Kenneth, Jim, Robert, and David; and his sisters, Shirley and Judy.

Donnia was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 4 at Burdy's Bar & Reception Hall, W14382 Railway Ave, Weyerhaeuser.

Donnie will be remembered for his curiosity, his hands-on hobbies, and the quiet strength he brought to his family.
