Elaine Hoffman, our dear sweet mother of twelve children, went to be with our Lord on June 25, 2025. She passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 100.

Mom is survived by 10 children, Mary Proden (Ken) of Ladysmith WI, Daughter-in-law Marge Hoffman of Chippewa Falls, Duane of Iron Mountain MI, Donald (Jacki) of Black River Falls WI, Roger (Monna) of Dayton OH, Jeanne Bowe (Gale) of Sparta WI, Catherine Ryba (Ken) of Chippewa Falls WI, Marlene Sullivan (Quintin) of Green Lake WI, Lawrence (Kim) of Chippewa Falls WI, Barbara Fischer (Mark) of Centennial, CO and Patricia Bunders (Roger) of Cottage Grove WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin, two sons, Dennis and infant son Paul, daughter-in-law Joan, granddaughter Cassandra Bunders and great granddaughter Delainey Hayden. 37 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by five sisters, Sister Juanita Hytry, Donna Mayer, Sister Mary Eve Hytry, Kelly Gansel, all of La Crosse WI and Noreen Kieffer of Rochester WI. Nine siblings proceeded her in death, Sister Beatrice Hytry, Lenore Martin, Ramona Stockton, John Hytry, David Hytry, Wanda Ripp, Veronica Gilles, Daniel Hytry, and Gaiola Hytry.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the church. She will be interred at the Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith alongside her loving husband.
