Eleanor Irene Surowiec, 86 of Hawkins, died peacefully at the Vita Care Assisted Living Facility in Ladysmith on Friday, February 7, 2025.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Frank Surowiec in April of 2004, her parents Howard and Florence (Baker) Harmon, siblings Jerry Harmon, James Harmon, Sharon Bihlmayer and Karen Leutkens.

She is survived by her brother Robert Harmon and daughters Kari (Mike Lewis) and Lisa (Wayne Stoll), 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on the morning of Saturday, February 15, 2025 with a celebration of life at Tom's Way to Go in Hawkins from 1 to 4 pm that afternoon and will be open to the public.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests donations be made to the Rusk County Animal Shelter.
