Elizabeth M. "LIZ" Sorensen 77 of Bruce; passed peacefully into the Arms of Jesus on Friday; November 18th, 2016 at The Country Terrace Assisted Living Center after an 11 year illness.

Liz is survived by her children: Lorna & Dean Meyer of Bruce; Daniel & Becky of Greenwood; Elissa & David Sullivan of Belvidere, IL; Keith & Tricia of Boyceville and a foster son Dave Cichy of Florida. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 loving sister Jean Dearhamer of Broken Arrow, OK and 1 brother Bernard Bennor of Rockford, MI; also 2 aunts, cousins, many nieces, nephews.

Friends and family may call after 4:00 PM on Friday; November 25th, 2016 at the Nash - Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce. Prior to the progression of her illness, she made a written request to be buried at The Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Based on travel logistics for several family members, the Funeral Service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Spooner at 11:00 AM on Saturday; November 26th with Rev. Brent Berkesch officiating. The Sorensen Family will receive friends at the Church for an hour prior to the service. A private burial ceremony will be at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery on Monday; November 28th, 2016.
