Ellen C. Schellinger

The family of Ellen Schellinger announces with deep sorrow the peaceful passing of their mother on April 27, 2026 at Shell Lake Heath Care Center. She was 81 years old.

Ellen was born on August 8, 1944 at St. Mary's Hospital in Ladysmith. She married Charles Schellinger, and together they shared many wonderful years. She was a devoted wife and mother to Alice, Dawn and Lisa.

Ellen enjoyed playing Bingo, solitaire, painting, and watching the Golden Girls and listening to the oldies on the radio.

Ellen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart and unwavering spirit.

Ellen is survived by her 3 daughters, Alice, Dawn and Lisa and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hjalmar & Emma (Beaulieu) Burkman and her husband, Charlie.

A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
