Elmer Edward Svoma, age 95, of Chippewa Falls, WI, died peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2013.
Elmer was preceeded in death by a young son, Carl William Svoma, and by his wife of 46 years, Margaret. They are survived by four sons: Ronald, of Ladysmith; Roger (Maria), of Ladysmith; Brian (Kelly), of Ladysmith; and Dennis, of Ladysmith; three daughters: Charlotte Hamilton, of Menomonie; Linda (Tom) Flottum, of Turtle Lake; and Brenda (Robert) Livingston, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
On February 20, 1993, Elmer married Rose L. Prueher in Mesa, Arizona, and they made their home in Chippewa Falls, WI. Elmer added to his family a stepdaughter, Carol (Lynn) Dunlap of Jim Falls, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-great-grandchildren.
There is a Visitation scheduled on Monday, October 28th beginning at 4:00pm at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith where Pastor Mark Pflughoeft of St. John's Lutheran Church will hold a Memorial Service at 5:30pm. On Tuesday, October 29th at 11:00am a Memorial Service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church-Chippewa Falls by Pastor Paul Oppedahl with visitation beginning at 10:00am and lunch to follow the service. Interment will be set at a later date.
