Ethel Ruth Sokolowski, 92, of Ladysmith died on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at the Ladysmith Nursing Home.

She is survived by her children: daughter Rita (Joel) Ellis of Eau Claire, WI; son Glenn (LuAnne) of Ladysmith, WI; son David (Karen) of Dunnellon, FL; 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Ford of Stillwater, MN; Janelle (Johnathan Ziebell) Schaaf of Webster, WI; Michael (Sara) Sokolowski of Weyerhaeuser, WI; John (Jennifer) Wisocky of Columbus, MS; Alison Klawiter of Superior, WI; Mark (Brittany) Sokolowski of Bruce, WI; Aaron (Sarah) Klawiter of Clintonville, WI; Erin Ellis, Dennison, Texas; sister Bertha Bos, North Fort Myers, FL; brother Harold (Bev), Marinette, WI; sister-in-law, Adeline Beck; brother-in-law, Ray Benkowski, Sun City, AZ; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family who were all special to her.

Visitation will be at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith on Wednesday, December 4 from 5-7:30 p.m. and also on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. The funeral service for Ethel Sokolowski will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Ladysmith with Pastor Dwight Hanson officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon, WI. A time for lunch and fellowship at Hope Lutheran Church will follow the interment service.
