George Paul Golubiff, of Bruce, passed away at his home on November 29, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on July 5, 1943, in Ladysmith, to Paul and Vera Golubiff.
George graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Third Class as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate, working on reciprocating engines. His service remained a meaningful part of his life, and his deep love for country stayed with him always.
On June 17, 1967, George married the love of his life, Jeanne (Malaise) Golubiff. The two shared a devoted marriage and built a life rooted in family, hard work, and adventure. They spent the past 20 years enjoying life as snowbirds in both Arizona and Florida. George loved to hunt, fix things, and stay active, and he embraced each new project with curiosity and determination.
George and Jeanne raised a family he was deeply proud of. He is survived by his wife: Jeanne; one son: Dirk and his wife LaRonda Golubiff of Bruce; and their 2 children; Walker and his wife Mallory Golubiff; and Logan Golubiff. He is also survived by his daughter: Georgia and her husband Roger Scott of St. Croix Falls; and their 2 children Mallory and Adrian Scott.
George was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Vera Golubiff, and his sister Winnie Wells.
Those who knew George will remember his quiet strength, his steady presence, and his ability to fix nearly anything put in front of him. He was a man who valued family, service, and honest work. Whether traveling across the country with Jeanne or sharing time with his children and grandchildren, George lived a life full of purpose and heart. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
Burial with military honors will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. All who knew George are invited to attend.
