Gerald “Jerry” J. LeBlanc, of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, passed away on November 26, 2025, in Marshfield, following multiple health complications. He was 68 years old.
Jerry was born on May 8, 1957, in Ladysmith to Ruth and LeRoy LeBlanc. Raised in Ladysmith, he later spent 30 years living and working in St. Paul, Minnesota, before returning home for retirement. Dedicated to learning and personal growth, Jerry earned an Associate of Applied Science degree from Crosier Seminary, an accomplishment he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.
For many years, Jerry worked as a pharmacy technician in St. Paul, where he was respected for his steady dependability and kind demeanor. A man of deep faith and service, he was a member of the Lac Courte Oreilles tribe and a parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Jerry served the church and community in numerous roles, including as a Knights of Columbus member, Lay Eucharistic Minister, pastoral care volunteer, and was proud to work door security at LJs in Ladysmith.
Jerry is survived by his brothers Michael (Linda) Dukin of Lac Courte Oreilles, WI, and Ken (Rosemary) LeBlanc of Richfield, MN, and 1 sister Sandra (Thomas) LeBlanc-Boland of Effie, MN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Jennifer LeBlanc, Alicia LeBlanc, Katie (Peter) Gamades, Max Gamades, and Mara (Cam) LeBlanc; and by first cousins Gerald Perion of Ingram, WI, Larry (Ellen) Smith of Wausau, WI, David (Rhinda) Smith of Phoenix, AZ, Donald (Joan) Smith of Wausau, WI, Robert (Donna) Smith of Sheboygan, WI, Michael (Debbie) Smith of Phoenix, AZ, Diane (Karl) Knapstad of Meridian, ID, and Laura Slaughter of Kilean, TX. Close friends Cherri Jablonski and Krista Lynn Morris were also cherished parts of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and LeRoy LeBlanc.
Jerry received compassionate care from the staff at Lake Manor in Ladysmith, for which his family is deeply grateful. He will be remembered for his gentle manner, positive demeanor, and endearing sense of humor — qualities that touched everyone blessed to know him.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith with Fr. Joseph Mayakuntla and Deacon Craig Voldberg celebrating. A memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church. Jerry will be laid to rest in Ingram Cemetery in Ingram, Wisconsin.
