Jacob Thomas Schmidt 25 of Ladysmith, joined his sister Laura in Heaven on October 10, 2012.
Jake is survived by his mother Dianne Sohler of Mankato, MN; his father Randall Schmidt of Omaha, NE; 2 brothers: 2nd Lt. John Schmidt of Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH; Luke & Teresa Schmidt and their children Simon and Emily of Eagle, WI. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Francis & Phyllis Sohler of Mankato; paternal grandmother Ruth Haefner of Mankato, paternal grandfather John Anderson of Bella Vista, AR;
Godparents Paula Brooks of Mankato and Mike Sohler of Lake Crystal, MN; aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Jacob will be held on Thursday; November 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bruce with burial in the Bruce Cemetery. The Schmidt - Sohler family will receive friends at the Church from 9:30 AM until service time.
