James Milton Stanton, 88, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 at the Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.

He is survived by a daughter, Charissa (Pat) Morgan of Ladysmith, 3 sons: James (Kathleen) Stanton of Ladysmith, Kevin (Debbie) Stanton of Altoona, and Matthew (Rachel) Stanton of Stevens Point, 2 brothers: Tony Nuehring Sr. of Holcombe and Bill Nuehring of Tony, Wisconsin as well as 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara who passed away just 6 months ago and his parents; Milton & Rose Stanton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31 at Hope Lutheran Church in Ladysmith with visitation from 9 to 11 and the service beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Christopher Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith with military honors provided by the Rusk County Honor Guard.
