Janet E. Trcka, 84, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, passed away on July 23, 2026, in Rice Lake.
Janet was born on July 4, 1942, in Shakopee, Minnesota, to Harold and Mary (Kragthorpe) Fuhrman.
Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family.
On December 16, 1961, Janet married the love of her life, Joseph W. Trcka, in Jordan, Minnesota. Together they shared many years of marriage until Joseph's passing on April 14, 2009. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she attended Exeland Mennonite Church, where she found fellowship and spiritual strength.
Janet is lovingly survived by her children, Kathy (Dan) Riley of Belle Plaine, Kansas, Jim (Pam) Trcka of Chetek, Wisconsin and Jerry (Missy) Trcka of Spooner, Wisconsin. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: James (Renee) Armstrong, Kylee (Mark) Rasmussen, Dane (Kerri) Riley, Katrina Riley, Julie Trcka, and Joey Trcka; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Don (Terry) Fuhrman; and her sister, Jean (Wayne) Lindquist, 1 sister-in-law, Shirley Trcka along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Trcka; her parents, Harold and Mary Fuhrman; and a brother, Charles Fuhrman.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she attended Exeland Mennonite Church, where she found fellowship and spiritual strength.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Exeland Mennonite Church, with Alvin Stoll and Jim Kauffman officiating. There will be visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church. A private burial will take place at Windfall Cemetery in Exeland next to her husband Joseph.
May Janet's faith, love for her family, and gentle spirit remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.
