Janice K. Dupey, 85 of Exeland, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2026.
Janice’s greatest love was her husband and family.
She was born on August 5, 1941, in Milwaukee, the only child of Peter and Marion (Canning) Pikago. On February 18, 1967, she married David J. Dupey in Milwaukee.
Janice worked at Generac in Waukesha for 24 years. After moving from North Prairie to Exeland in 2003, she was employed at Dollar General in Ladysmith for 10 years and then volunteered at the Marshfield Clinic in Ladysmith for 1 1/2 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Radisson.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Janice’s greatest love was her husband and family. She was a big sports fan who cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. She loved to cook and bake (often with a glass of Merlot), read Danielle Steel novels, travel, visit the beach, shop, and keep up with the latest technology.
She is survived by her husband, David; children Peggy (Bruce) Hibbard of Waukesha, Maureen Dupey of Waukesha, Robert Dupey (Beth) of Mt. Pleasant, Mary (Robert) Degenstein of Stanton, North Dakota, and Peter Dupey (Tammie) of Waukesha; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Paul J. Dupey.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith where a Rosary will be said at 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28 at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Ryan officiating. There will also be an hour of visitation from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cadott, following the service.
