IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanette "Nettie"
Wartgow
October 24, 1930 – November 3, 2019
Jeanette (Nettie) Wartgow, age 89 of Park Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Park Manor.
Nettie was born October 24, 1930, in Park Falls, WI, one of 14 children of Michael and Eva Hilgart. She married her husband of 67 years, William (Bill) Wartgow, on August 18, 1951. They resided in their home in Park Falls where they raised four children, Dennis (Cathy) Wartgow, Patricia (Michael) Buraglio, Robert (Elizabeth) Wartgow, and Gary (Jodi) Wartgow.
Nettie enjoyed being a full time Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. Faith and family were her universe, and nothing stood in her way when it came to caring for each and every one of them or providing service to her church. A very gifted seamstress, Nettie was well known throughout the community for creating, mending, and altering, no job was ever too great for her skilled hands. For many years, she sewed custom draperies for a local shop. In later years, quilting at Peace Lutheran Church brought her great joy as she worked with a wonderful group of women sewing quilts for missions throughout the world. Nettie also found joy in assisting for many years with the Peace-Full Gathering Dinner, a ministry Peace provides for the community the last day of each month. Despite many health issues and the storms she faced over the past several years, she demonstrated remarkable strength, courage, and resilience. Throughout these difficult years, her continued wit and sense of humor astounded everyone including her very special caregivers. Nettie will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Bill.
She is survived by her four children; 12 grandchildren, Mandy (Andy) Bushman, Bill (Michelle) Wartgow, Andrea (Ron) Yunk, Erin Bailey, Justin (Emily) Buraglio, Kristin (John) Murphy, Ben (Sarah) Wartgow, Jill Wartgow, Blake (Riah) Kontny, Riley Wartgow, John and Joe Wartgow; 13 great grandchildren, Tyler, Jake, and Aiden Bushman, William Wartgow, Clare and Mitchell Yunk, Lauren Bailey, Braylon and Brynlee Buraglio, Trevor, Nolan, and Lydia Wartgow, and Quinn Kontny.
