Jene R. Popowich, 84 of Chetek, passed away peacefully at home with family on July 2, 2025.

Jene is survived by his wife, Margaret of 60 years; children, Steve (Sandi) Popowich, Cindy (Carl) Hartman and Scott (Kimberley) Popowich and eight grandchildren; brothers, Roger and Greg; and sisters, Gloria and Roberta.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sara (Finley) Popowich; brother, Russell; and sisters, Gail, Rose and Roxanne.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Eternal rest, grant onto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, though the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
