Jerald “Jerry” Blick, 82, of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, died on April 29, 2026, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Jerry was born on June 5, 1943, in Watertown, South Dakota, to Herbert and Thelma Blick. He was raised in South Dakota and later lived in Robbinsdale and Minnetonka, Minnesota; Phoenix, Arizona; and Clayton, Wisconsin. He moved to the Ladysmith area in 2008.
On November 7, 1964, Jerry was united in marriage to Phyllis (Reid) Blick in Argentia, Newfoundland, Canada. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2013.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years. Throughout his working life, he was employed at the Bureau of Engraving in Minneapolis and later became the owner and operator of Arizona Fuel Sales in Phoenix. After returning to Wisconsin, he farmed in Clayton and owned and operated Super Locker in Amery until his retirement.
He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands and took great pride in mechanics and carpentry. In his free time, Jerry loved hunting, fishing, and cooking with his grandkids. He was baptized and confirmed at Tabor Lutheran Church in Strandburg, South Dakota.
Jerry is survived by his son, William “Scott” Blick (Samantha) of Rice Lake, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Joshua, Ashton (Joe), and Sawyer (Isaac); and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dee Dee Enquist (Jeff) of Stockholm, South Dakota, along with four cherished nieces: Amelia, Angie, Laura, and Jennifer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Phyllis; and his brother, Charles Eugene Blick.
A visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on May 6, 2026, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Jerry will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith with Military Honors provided by the Rusk County Honor Guard.
Jerry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of family, and the quiet generosity he showed to those around him.
