John M. Alden, 82, of Ladysmith, died on Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at Rusk County Memorial Hospital.

John is survived by 3 daughters; Wendy & Dr. Roger Shepherd of Rochester, MN, Lori & Mick Fuchs of Ladysmith, Cindy & Ken R. Gorsegner of Hudson, his 7 grandchildren: John Roger Shepherd, Alex Shepherd, Mandy & Mitch Colby, Melissa Fuchs, Michelle Fuchs, Ken A. & Katherine Gorsegner, Grant Gorsegner; his great-grandson Braylon Colby, 1 brother Harold & Jean Alden, 1 brother-in-law Tom Koyen, special cousin Marilyn & Sydney Stewart and many special nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 30th, 2015 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith with Military Burial Rites provided by the Ladysmith Veterans Association. John's family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 29th, 2015 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith where there will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service at 7:00 PM. There will be also be an hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the Church.
