John Roger "Doc" Nagel ,75, died on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at his home in Bruce.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis; children: Sean (Angie) Nagel of Bruce, WI, Eric Nagel of Bruce, WI, Alex (Hazel) Nagel of English, IN. 6 grandchildren: Kevin (Sarah) and Kristopher Nagel of Moorhead, MN, Kyle Nagel of Ladysmith, WI, Lane Nagel of Rice Lake, WI, Payton Nagel of Corydon, IN and Alan Nagel of English, IN; brothers, Robert (Carol) Nagel of Sheldon, WI, Ted (Patricia) Nagel of Cornell, WI, Scott (Melanie) of Jump River, WI; sisters, Laura (Dick) Culver of Pardeeville, WI, Nancy (Galen) Story of Sheldon, WI along with numerous other family members, shipmates and friends.

Doc was proceeded in death by his parents: John and Dorothy (Heim) Nagel.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Jump River Community Center with services beginning at 10:00 AM with Gary Paul officiating. Following the service, military honors will be provided by the Jump River VFW. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials given to the Local Veteran organizations in memory of "Doc" Nagel.
