John Pichowicz, 98, of Ladysmith, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith.

John is survived by his children Joan Vitcenda, Bette and Richard Bohmann, Linda and Dan Bertrand, former son-in-law Steve Wohlfeil, and Pamela and Dave Literski; grandchildren Brenda (Dale) Thompson, Beverly (Dan) Krause, Bruce Vitcenda, Bart (Jamie) Vitcenda, Richard Bohmann, Ben Bohmann, Jill (Mike) Fliehr, Patrick Bertrand, Tiffany (Nick) Amlot, Peter (Deena) Bertrand, Natalie (Jason) Higbie, and John Literski; great-grandchildren Danelle, Lindsey and Brittany Thompson, Robert and Brooke Krause, Joseph and Jason Bertrand, Wyatt Vitcenda, Dylan Higbie, Joel Amlot. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival this summer of two more great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his sister, Stella Rosier, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Beth and Nick (Custer) Ptasznik and many special nieces and nephews.

In accordance with John's wishes, his family celebrated John's life with a private celebration to be followed by a burial service in the spring to which all are welcome.
