John Wenzel Wiacek, 77 of Sheldon, surrounded by family and friends, left us to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 21, 2024, after a recurrence of esophageal cancer.

John is survived by his wife, Mona, his son David (Sarah) Wiacek, stepsons Kyle (Brittany Prestwood) Sunday and Cody Sunday, stepdaughter Kelly (Chris) Bean, grandchildren Kayla, Eric, Ashlynn, Bailey, Skyler, Damien, Azalia, Lilly, Riley, Kinsley, Avantay, and Maddie, and great-granddaughter Guinevere.

John is also survived by his sisters Mary (Dick) Metnick, Cindy Johnson, and Jane Reich, nephews Craig and Tim (Kay) Metnick, Nick (Joey) Reich, nieces Cody (Larry Halter) Reich and Gigi LaBelle, and their families, extended family members, and many close friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents Wenzel and Adella (Johnson) Wiacek, first wife Gladys Wiacek, brothers-in-law William "Bill" Reich and Donald "Don" Johnson, and nephew Travis Reich.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Sheldon Church of Christ with Jeremy Allard officiating. The service will conclude with military honors, followed by a light lunch. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at the church.
