Kenneth D. Abel, 71 of Ladysmith, died on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.

He is survived by his wife Anna, 2 daughters Michelle and Melissa Abel both of Ladysmith, 5 grandchildren and 7 brothers and sisters; Jerry (Cindy) Abel of Neenah, Charles (Kathy) Schanes of Rockford, Illinois, Butch Schanes of Wisconsin Rapids, Heidi, Judy Murray of Anacortes, Washington, Jason Abel of Exeland and Eric Abel of Ladysmith.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents August & Isabelle (Fitzgerald) Abel and a son Brian.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Following the service, military honors will be provided by the Ladysmith Veterans Association. Visitation will begin on Monday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
