Kenneth H. "Kenny" van Treese, 77 of Conrath, died on Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home.
Russ and In Wittrig invited Kenny into their home after high school and he became a brother to Gerald, Wayne, Frances, Charlotte and Peggy.
Kenny was married to Darlene David in 1968 and had two wonderful children; Laurie and Christopher. Kenny and Mary Ann were married in 1976 and had three wonderful children; Russell, Connie and Kenny.
He is survived by his wife; Mary Ann, 5 children; Laurie Mais (Richard) of Longwood, FL, Christopher van Treese (Lisa Chen) of Orlando, FL, Russell van Treese (Star) of Conrath, Connie Cavanaugh (Robert) of Woodbury, MN and Kenneth van Treese III (Terra) of Sheldon, 9 grandchildren; Harry Cavanaugh, Angela Brooks, Jacy Bohaty, Jared Franks, Alyse Carrasco, Kayla van Treese, Jacob Chen, Kiana Mais and Jordon Mais, 8 great-grandchildren; Brynn, Brady, Mia, Lincoln, Darlynn, Regan, Carmelo and Breon, his Grandpa day care grandkids; Dakota and Emily, 2 sisters; Kay Kirby of Beloit and Karen Njemanza of New Lisbon, 1 brother; Bert van Treese of New Lisbon, special caregiver; Joey Nitek and his support pup; Emma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth Herbert van Treese and Eleanor (Johnson) Brock.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ladysmith with Rev. Craig S. Zandi officiating. Military honors provided by Sheldon American Legion Post 316 will immediately follow the service on Wednesday at the church.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Conrath Cemetery.
