Melvin F. Spencer 80; died on Monday; March 2nd, 2015 at his home in Tony. Mel is survived by his wife Gayle and their 10 children:
Daniel & Joan of Marshfield, Mary & Tom Bendickson of Arpin, Susan & Daniel Schoelzel of Tony, Anna & Hank Stock of San Antonio, TX, Timothy & Jennifer of Tomah, Aimee & Robert Zahradka of Chili, Christopher of Richfield MN, Peter of Madison, James of Abbotsford and Melissa & Ralph Betthaeuser of Marshfield.

He is also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Harold "Buck" Spencer of Marshfield, Clement "Clem" Spencer of Gilbert, SC, Lois Herkert, Gloria Schnitzler and Gladys Brock, all of Marshfield.

Funeral Services for Melvin will be held on Saturday; March 7th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Tony with Fr. Chris Kemp officiating. Burial will be in The Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Marshfield at a later date.

The Spencer Family will receive friends at the Nash - Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith after 4:00 PM on Friday where there will be Scripture Service at 7:30 PM followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary Service. There will also be an hour of visitation at the Church on Saturday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, it was Melvin's wish that memorials be set up in his name to St. Anthony de Padua Parish and Our Lady of Sorrows Parochial School.
