Nancy Louise (Romanowski) Knorovsky passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026 at the age of 92 at her home in Bruce, WI. Nancy was born in Strickland/Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin on July 25, 1934 to Helen M. (Mansky) Romanowski and Leonard J. Romanowski. She was one of three children. Her brothers are Marvin (deceased) and Jerome (Blair, WI).

Nancy was the kindest of souls who loved animals and was known to feed stray cats and even a fox. She never made an enemy in her entire life. She had a quiet and delicate personality and showed her love to all through her acts of service and wonderful gifts. She deeply loved her children and grand-children and created fond lifelong memories for them, especially of her wonderful family dinners, homemade cheesecakes and jello molds.

After high school, Nancy moved to Chicago where she met George S. Knorovsky, and they were married on September 1, 1956 in Strickland. They shared almost 60 years together before George passed in 2016. They lived in Chicago, IL and then moved to Twin Lakes, WI where they lived for over 35 years until George's death on July 15, 2016.

She is survived by her three daughters: Judith (Gerald) Trybula of Oak Lawn, IL, Karen (John) Grode of Bruce, and Kristine Saucerman of Elkhorn, WI, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith, Wisconsin on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Timothy Jerry. A graveside service will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Church Cemetery in Weyerhaeuser.
