Pastor David L. Smith, 76 of Ladysmith, died on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at his home following a 3 ½ month illness of liver cancer.

He is survived by his wife Elaine and their 3 sons; David W. and wife Heather Smith of Racine, Timothy J. and wife Luda Smith of Ladysmith, Scott D. and wife Marjorie Smith of Woodruff, 9 grandchildren, one of whom is very much a living child to be brought into this world in November that he was eagerly waiting to meet, and 1 sister; Doris and Robert Mitchell of Mesa, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Grace (Evans) Smith, 2 brothers; Dean and Billy Smith and a sister Margret Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Ladysmith Baptist Church with Pastors Kurt Schroder and Robert Love officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the church.
