Russell R. Thompson, 85 of Exeland, WI, died on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Ladysmith, WI surrounded by his family after battling liver cancer for 17 months.

He is survived by 1 son; David R. (Connie) Thompson of Ladysmith, 1 daughter; Danna R. Holzmer of Radisson, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother; Don (Faye) Thompson of Winter and 3 sisters; Paulene Godfrey of Darlington, WI, Loraine Cohoon of Exeland and Mary Parson of Monroe, WA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Becky on June 11, 2019, his parents Paul & Eloise (Reed) Thompson, 5 brothers; Robert, Max, Phil, Ralph and William and 3 sisters; Georgiana, Linda and Grace Smallwood.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ladysmith with Rev. Craig S. Zandi officiating. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery in Exeland.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Friday, August 23 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
