Shirley (Hemphill) Schleusner, age 96 of Exeland, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 while under the care of her children and the supportive staff of Lakeview Medical Center Hospice.

She was married to Robert Newton. They had 1 son & 1 daughter. After Robert's death she remarried on September 23, 1951 to Arnold Schleusner. To that union 5 more children were born; 4 daughters and 1 son.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Arnold in 2006, 1 son Patrick Newton and 1 daughter, Sandra Nichols, 2 grandchildren, her 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by 4 daughters; Sharon Brodeur, Exeland, Pamela Robertson, Ladysmith, Wendy (Greg) Hoffmann, Exeland, Connie (Steven) Fish, McFarland, and 1 son David (Darlene) Schleusner, Alabama. 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Living Faith Church in Exeland with Pastor Timothy Jerry officiating. Public visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. Burial will follow at Windfall Cemetery in Exeland.
