Stanlee K. Hall, age 75, of Winter, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Lake Hallie Memory Care in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, after a six-year journey with primary progressive aphasia, a form of dementia.

Stan was born on March 12, 1951, in Leon, Iowa, to Garland and Marie (Smidt) Hall. He graduated from Kanawha High School in 1969 and later attended Lea College in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He ultimately earned his degree from Winona State University, Minnesota in 1974.

Stan began his teaching career with the Winter School District in August 1974, where he taught art and graphic design for 32 years before retiring in 2006. He was part of a team of educators who helped introduce contemporary computer software to the Winter School District during the early years of technology integration. Stan was also instrumental in developing the graphic design program at Winter High School.

He was deeply involved in the SkillsUSA student competition program, particularly in advertising design, where several of his students advanced to the national level and placed among the top ten in the country. Stan loved working with young people and combined that passion with his love of golf by founding the Winter High School golf team. The team advanced to sectionals in only its second year. He also served as the school’s yearbook advisor for several years.

Stan married Sue Blair later in life on July 24, 2021. Together, Stan and Sue enjoyed attending live music events at Big Top Chautauqua, the Surf Ballroom, and many other venues. Their travels included a memorable visit to the Ice Caves on Lake Superior. They also shared a love of landscaping, gardening, snowshoeing, making maple syrup, and listening to music at home.

Stan enjoyed golf, music, tube stereo equipment, photography, and his beloved dogs, Shy, Jada, and Allie. During retirement, he continued golfing at Barker Lake and participated in league play. He was also a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan.

Stan is survived by his wife, Sue; his stepchildren, Adam Blair of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, and Amy Blair (David Ault) of Tampa, Florida; his brother, Lee Hall (Ann) of Rochester, Minnesota; and his son, Jesse Henderson of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Marie Hall, and his brother, Steve Hall.

The family extends a special thank you to the teams at Lake Hallie Memory Care, Lily Medical, and Lily Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Stan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Winter High School auditorium on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Dinner will be served at the school following the service.
