Steven J. Schilling

Steven Jack Schilling, 67 of Ladysmith, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at his daughter's home after suffering from congestive heart failure for 2 months. He was born on December 22, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI to Donald Arthyr & Evelyn Arleen (Stienhilber) Schilling.

He married Robie June Luebke in Sheboygan, WI on September 27, 1980 and they moved to the Ladysmith area in 2001. Robie then preceded him in death on July 16, 2016.

Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing, thrift sales, gardening, landscaping, UTVing, campfires, being with his dog Loki and cooking. But he mostly loved being with his family.

Survivors include his daughters: Samantha Schilling of Holcombe, WI and Colleen Schilling of Ladysmith, grandchildren: Angelica Hesselink and Nayeli Schilling, brothers: Donald of the Philippines, Richard (Jackie) of Wisconsin, Justin (Kathy) of North Carolina, Ernest (Kris) of Wisconsin and Terry (Terri) of Tennessee and sisters: Kristine (Jack) of Alabama, Cassandra of Wisconsin and Debra (Steve) of Virginia. Also surviving are his beloved brother-in-law: Bruce (Misty) of New Mexico and beloved cousin: Harry (Marge) of Wisconsin. Steven was preceded in death by his parents: Donald & Evelyn, brother: Thomas and sister-in-law: Cris.

He was the most amazingly loving and generous person who will be beyond missed.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held on June 20, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Jim Falls Sturgeon Reservoir.
