The hunting cabin was a special place for him and where he enjoyed every hunting season.

Thomas Richard Decker, 86 of Holcombe, passed away on July 4, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Tom, known lovingly to many as Louie, was born in Thorpe, Wisconsin on March 2, 1940, to Arlyn Hollis & Martha Irilla (Brown) Decker, where he grew up and worked on the family’s dairy farm. He started his own company, D & G Siding, and spent his adult life in construction and renovation where he built many beautiful homes, including his own home on the Chippewa Flowage.

Tom is survived by his loving partner, Patricia Recore; three children, Timothy Scott (Juanita), Tamra Sue Duncan (Jeffrey), and Troy Sean (Natalie); grandchildren, Jessica Schrek (Devin), Tonya Dalke (Chris), Kia Dunatov (Devin), and TJ Decker (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Genevieve Schrek, Tatum Dalke, Olivia, Wells, and Mila Dunatov, Wyatt, Wrenly, and Waylon Decker; and many others including nieces and nephews, friends, and his “hunting family”. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Russell, Arlyn and Kenneth; grandson, Travis; and great-granddaughters, Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia.

Tom loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family who will miss him dearly. The hunting cabin was a special place for him and where he enjoyed every hunting season. His presence at camp will be missed. Tom’s contagious laugh will be missed by everyone who knew him, The life lessons he shared with many will be cherished forever.

Tom was baptized on June 26, 2026.

Tom’s family wants to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Marshfield Hospital in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, for the kind and attentive care provided to Tom during his final days.

The life lessons he shared with many will be cherished forever.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12th with a service at Riverside Cemetery in Withee, Wisconsin beginning at 10:00 am. Following the cemetery service, there will be a celebration of life at Bottoms Up in Jump River, Wiscosin at 2:00 pm. Please rsvp by August 22 to tamraduncan2@gmail.com.
