Vernon R. Eckert 91 of Bruce, died on Sunday; February 26, 2012
at The Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith.
Vern is survived by his wife Helen and 2 children:
Sharon & Alvin Jabaay of Bruce and Raymond & Brenda Eckert of Seville, OH. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and a son in law, Dean Lindsey of Orland Park, IL.
Funeral services for Vern will be held on Wednesday; February 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bruce with Fr. Chris Kemp officiating. The Eckert Family will receive friends on Tuesday after 4:00 PM at The Nash - Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce where there will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM. There will also be an hour of visitation at the Church on Wednesday prior to service time. Members of the Bruce American Legion will provide a Salute at 10:45 AM at the Church. Burial will be in The Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner on Thursday.
