Wallace John Checkalski, age 99, a long-time Weyerhaeuser resident, passed away at Woodstone Senior Living, Rice Lake on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Survivors of Wallace John Checkalski include his brother; Arnie Checkalski (spouse Phyllis) of Rice Lake, 4 children; Gary Checkalski (spouse Lois) of Enfield, CT, Karen Champeau (spouse Randy) of Sarona, Bonnie Arndt (spouse Frank Smith) of Frankfort, KY, Rodney Checkalski of Weyerhaeuser, 7 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation for Wallace Checkalski will be held on Thursday, May 19, from 4 - 7 pm at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Weyerhaeuser where a visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Military honors provided by Weyerhaeuser VFW Post 5780 will follow the Mass at the church at 12:00 PM with a meal to follow also at the church.

The family will have a private graveside ceremony on Saturday, May 21.
