Walter Weinert, 91, of Bruce, WI died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Rusk County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith, WI.

Walt is survived by 2 sons and 4 daughters; Bob, Gary, Lois, Susan, Pat and Peggy, all of Bruce, 3 grandchildren; Jennifer Rose of River Falls, WI, Ross Matthew and John Henry both of Bruce, 9 brothers and sisters; Hilda Wuethrich of Coos Bay, OR, Paul & Grace of Lewiston, ID, Connie & Theresa of Bruce, Frieda Lundgren of Colton, OR, Emma Weinert of Minneapolis, MN, Herman & Sherry of Saratoga, WY, Carsten & Jeannie of Bradgate, IA, Irma Feller of Bruce, and Max & Nancy of Wisconsin, and 1 sister-in-law; Marian Weinert of Tony, WI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce with Rev. Mark Bartlett officiating. Walt's family will receive friends at the church on Saturday for an hour prior to service time.

Members of the Bruce American Legion and the Weyerhauser VFW will provide a Military Burial Salute at the church on Saturday following the service.
