Wayne E. Copas, 75, of Ladysmith, passed away on July 30, 2026, at Ladysmith Care & Rehab.

Wayne is survived by his sons John (Alison), James and Jeremy, daughter Julie (Ronald) Comeaux, siblings Susan (Bruce) Petrie, Alan (Cherry), Sarah (Jim) Ambrose, Paul (Roberta), and Margaret (Jeff) Holzem, sister-in-law Roxi Copas; nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Nancy Copas; brothers, Roger and David; sister-in-law, Wendy Copas (Busse); and a great-grandchild, a baby boy, carried in love and pride.

A private service was held for his family, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sheldon. Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Ladysmith Care & Rehab staff for caring for Wayne these past two years. The compassion you showed during his last days brought comfort to him and to all of us. We are deeply grateful.
