Ladysmith
Wayne R. Peterson, 83, of Ladysmith, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake. He was born on May 16, 1943, in Stillwater, Minnesota, to Harry and Ruth (Pohl) Peterson, both of whom preceded him in death. Wayne moved to the local area in April 1989.
He is survived by 4 sons: Dave Peterson of Somerset; Doug Peterson of Stillwater, MN; Brad Peterson & Julie Smith of Ladysmith; and Jeff Peterson & Katie Rodina of Rice Lake. He is also survived by a brother Steve Peterson and wife Jackie of Hudson, and his sister Janet Killkelly of Stillwater, MN. Wayne was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
