About Us
Originally established in Ladysmith in 1932, Nash-Jackan Funeral Homes has continued the legacy of several former funeral homes serving the families of Ladysmith and the surrounding communities. In 1983 McElravy-Geier expanded to include a funeral home in Bruce allowing them to serve all of Rusk County and beyond with honor and distinction.
The funeral home in Ladysmith was originally founded by Charles & Esther McElravy. There have been several name changes over the years from McElravy, to McElravy-Haasl, McElravy-Geier (owned by Richard Nash, Richard Keepers & Dave Jackan), and as it’s known today as Nash-Jackan Funeral Homes, Inc (owned by Murphy McGinnis and Jim & Karla Cole).
We are proud of our heritage and continue to do our best to maintain the trust of all of the communities we serve.
We have always been locally owned and operated, providing complete service for:
- Prearrangements
- Traditional Funerals
- Options for Cremation
- Headstones/Monuments: Please see helpful links located under the 'Resources' tab for a link to Lifetime Memorials' website.

We are proud to offer our own cremation facility located at the funeral home in Ladysmith.
We think you will find your visit to our website helpful, but remember we are always here to personally answer any questions.
